The Speed Bag by The Burn Machine once again appeared on UFC programming, this time in the hands of Brock Lesnar during Spike TV’s “Countdown to UFC 116.”

The Speed Bag actually makes a pair of appearances during UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar’s training montage as Lesnar explains his training regimen for his July 3^rd title defense against Shane Carwin at UFC 116.

Brock Lesnar first appeared with the Speed Bag during the training montage of the “Countdown to UFC 106” special. UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva was later seen training with the Speed Bag during the “Countdown to UFC 112” broadcast in preparation for his title defense against Demian Maia.

The Burn Machine, LLC is putting the finishing touches on the commercial for the Speed Bag.

According to Olga Wierszewski, chief financial officer for The Burn Machine, the commercial will air on select television networks nationwide.

“The entire creative team at The Burn Machine pitched in and did a tremendous job in writing, shooting and editing the commercial,” Wierszewski said. “It does a great job at conveying the excitement that this unique product brings to the fitness industry.”

Joey Russo of Monroe, Michigan once again takes center stage as the pitchman for The Burn Machine’s latest offering. Russo also appeared as pitchman in the current commercial for the Universal one of The Burn Machine’s asymmetrical barbells.

Freddie George, a mixed-martial-arts trainer with the renowned CSW Training Center in Fullerton, California is featured heavily in the new Speed Bag commercial. Also featured in the Speed Bag commercial is fitness trainer and Macomb, Michigan resident Laura Lee. Lee appeared alongside Russo in the company’s Universal commercial as well.

The Burn Machine, LLC has added a new version of one of its most popular items.

The new four-pound Novice Speed Bag is available and offers users what The Burn Machine refers to as “an expanded spectrum of applications.”

Olga Wierszewski, chief financial officer of The Burn Machine, said the addition of a four-pound Speed Bag was initially driven by the demands of physical therapists.

“In many cases, physical therapists fell in love with the Speed Bag because it’s a less-expensive and more-convenient alternative to the U.B.E. (upper-body ergometer), but one repeated concern was the units were just too heavy for many of their more severely injured or impaired clients to use,” Wierszewski said. “They specifically requested a version that could be used even by those with limited upper body strength. The Burn Machine paid attention and gave them exactly what they asked for.”

Ofelia Saenz, director of marketing for The Burn Machine, stressed that applications for the Novice Speed Bag don’t end with physical therapy.

“The lighter model makes for an ideal tool in longer, more cardio-intensive workouts,” Saenz said.

The Burn Machine is currently producing a series of workout DVDs designed specifically for use with the Speed Bag.

As a physical therapist, I work independently with patients with all kinds of joint and muscle injuries. I recently used the units of Asymmetrical Barbell System by Burn Machine and I am writing to express my opinion of these machines.
